Rock Christmas songs . . . generally suck.
There are a few (very few) exceptions, and the best of the entire lot never gets any airtime at Christmas, by and large. And that's "Father Christmas" by the Kinks.
Leaps and bounds better than Springsteen's goofy, boozy cover of "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town," not even worth a comparison to that Christmas rock junk from the 50s and 60s, "Father Christmas" is the goods.
I couldn't find a good quality video of the Kinks performing the song, but this video is fun, set to the Kinks' version.
Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all.

Umm, wow. This video + Nyquil? A bit of a trip. LOL. Hope you have a great Christmas Milady :)
What? Did you forget about The Waitresses "Christmas Wrapping"? Or Twisted Sister's "Come All Ye Faithful"?
This is one of my favorites but I have to agree with Tom here... there are several others that are right up here along with Kink's.
Didn't Twister Sister also do a remake of the 12 Days called Heavy Metal Christmas?
Someone did a remix of the Guardsman's Snoopy Song for X-mas... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jlf---13Q0g
Weird Al's Christmas at Ground Zero is a little morose but funny. I've come to really like Jethro Tull's Christmas album too as an alternative to the norm.
Oi to the World by the Vandals or even better by No Doubt... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZjoJXAjXY8
